In astrology, the full moon represents a renewal of energy. The full moon is the most important and powerful part of the moon cycle. During this part of the cycle, there is high energy and power. It is a time to release negative energies and welcome in new ones.
There are many different kinds of Full Moon Rituals, but the one that I complete is from Mystix Lipstick. She is an energy healer and Astrologer. She provides a ritual that is less extensive then others but still very effective.
The first step of the ritual, is to write down everything you want to release from your life. This list should include people, behaviors, and/or traits that you want to remove from life. This list can be as long or a short as you would like. At the end, of the list you need to write:
Then, read over your list again. You should believe that energies you have listed will be removed whwen the ritual is done. You should feel that power of the ritual. Keep reading it until you do. Once you do, the next thing you need to write is:
When you finished the written portion, it is now time to burn the list. I put my list in a ceramic bowl, but you can use any container that would be safe to burn paper in. I feel the best place to do the ritual would be outside under the moon. Make sure that you are using fire safety when completing this part of the ritual.
When you are burning the list, you need to visualize all the all the energy you have listed leaving your presence. If you can visualize this, the energies will be gone and never return. After you have burned you list, take another sheet of paper and write:
Sign and date this letter and this ritual is complete.
Some people may believe that rituals like this are demonic or don’t believe in them at all. But the progress of writing down the negative things you would like to change about yourself is a great form of self-evaluation. This practice can help you check in with your-self and evaluate how you would you like to move forward.
The next full moon in New Year’s, which is PERFECT.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
